I loved that era of the BTCC and the street race that they had in Birmingham city center, also loved playing the early TOCA Games on Play station

Good thread.

Funny that a tiga was mentioned as a car I've read a bit about recently ran the rear suspension out of one !

Quite a mad setup to put in the back of a Peugeot !

Never really liked them at the time, but they have a properly cool old school appeal to them now

That's quite smart. I'm sure the car owned by someone I know was also a Rapid Fit one, he sold it a while back so maybe it's one of the 2 your friend owns ?

Wasn't as good as the late 80's, but still good!
I remember the in-car, with helmet miles, when Mansell ploughed it into the bridge at Donnington... Bit shocking, seeing it live, hearing him just before the impact!

Very cool. Tony at touring car spares has a brand new original prodrive mk2 front bumper and splitter for sale, will only sell to an owner of a prodrive car, which is unfortunate, because I'd love it for my car

I knew it was a few years ago I started this thread, didn't think it was knocking 6 years though, just makes the cars even cooler, because there twice as old now

I machined up the oil pumps for the prodrive cars , good piece of kit , they had a few different type some had deairaters at the rear some had filter housings at the rear and some had plain stages at the rear, Taylors Motorsport have or had a prodrive rapid fit car for sale and my mate has brought one of the rapid fit cars shells ( to put a. Yb in it) and he all so got a bare shell ( Motorsport aswel so I'm told ) no cage or nothing all ready to be prepped into a touring car

There was one of the prodrive rapid fit cars for sale a year or two back, was pretty much all there, and wasn't to expensive either iirc, well, compared to what they cost to build new anyway
