I PM'd Pet about this as I have the same problem. He is aware of it and said he is working day after day trying to find the glitch which is something to do with the way sessions are handled.

So we'll just have to be patient Dave until Pet comes up with a cure.

That sums it up. There is an issue with your session being dropped on topic changes and its an immense job to try and fine the problem sadly. Its a pain for us all but nothing more we can do for now, its in Pets hands...

No, you may have missunderstood i think, the cookies problem was for people who actually could NOT log in at all. The cookie was corrupt and wouldnt allow your username password.

Sorry Stu but this reads to me that it's for people who randomly get booted out of PF

2) Logging in and out errors.
This is caused by the very latest upgrade from PHP and only affects board with heavy traffic. The error causes your browser to log you out of PF randomly and create varios error messages relating to sessions or login security problems.
At the moment there is no perfect cure but a temporary solution is to do as follows.

Log OUT of Passionford.
Close ALL browser windows.
Open ONE window and go into tools
Then into Cookies.
DELETE ALL COOKIES.
Ensure all windows are closed.
Reeboot the PC.
Log back ionto PF.
Best of luck.

That was the original thought, it was clarified later on when we found out where the problem lay, and teh correct description is as i stated above.

Sorry but I never saw the clarification, neither could have others as there was a thread recently about randomly being booted out. Maybe it would be prudent to amend the info on the stickied Announcement..... https://passionford.com/forum/viewto...199015&start=0

Really don't know if this helps - or if you have sorted the problem out - but last night before reading this topic i deleted my PF cookies, re-logged in, ticked the remember me box thingy and now every time i visited the site since i'm always logged in !!
