Default codec help

I'v jst downloaded the 1st 4 episodes of lost series 3 and they aint working, any ideas aout these codecs cause i'm sick of dowloading things to be greated with no picture but sound

Have a look on Google for a program called AVICodec......download/install that, then open the media-file in it; it'll tell you which audio/video codecs you need to play it, and give you a link to download them from.

i use VLC multedia player and it plays anything has all the codecs built in .

thats cos the first 4 lost are audio only mate, there was no picture, originally intended for radio

i'm dowloading xvid decoder now, hopefully that will sort it right out, if nt the laptop is getting headbutted

and/or download ffdshow from so you can watch it through media player etc
