Well I've not got sky at all at the moment but just got a Toshiba LCD HD ready tv & was just gonna get sky+ for now but now thinking I may aswell just pay out the extra right from the start. As I can't see the price for HD coming down much more than £100 in the next year or so.........does it improve the quality of reception on the standard sky channels aswell Paul or is it purely just the HD channels?

From what I have read on other forums, about 80% of peeps DON'T think it is currently worth the money..... Purely from the ammount of programming offered..... Personally I don't think HD digital braodcasting will settle into a normal routine for anohter year or two yet, but when it does it will probably be really good....
But it's too "new" at the mo - picture quality and level of "HD" varies, sound quality (and status - stereo, 5.1, etc) varies.... Everything is just on repeat all the time
But as said, sport is supposed to be great and apparently so are the nature/wildlife progs
