My V70 T5 has 138k on it and is still a very strong engine. 200k + is no problem for these engines.
I'd check on the Volvo owners forum but i think with these cars theres a well known fault with the electronic potentiometer on the throttle bodies. These wear out every 30 k or so and cost around £600 to replace.
They are very good comfortable cars but the 2.0 may be a little underpowered for the size of the car.

Have a look at the above link, there's a section on the S60's I think. I havent a clue on price but I do know they depreciate quite heavily.

With that milegae your also going to be putting quite a few people off even though they are very good engines.

This is the thread about the ETM failures. Personally I wouldn't touch one of these cars because of this problem.

I had one of these for a while and loved it. Great seats and fantastic driving position. The car itself drives surprisingly well too. From memory the 2.0T is providing something like 175bhp which was enough for me.

Only problem I found is that the turning circle was incredibly bad - think about three pointers every time you want to park. I believe this is because the alloys on the SE are wider than those on the S - when I changed to the D5 S with the smaller wheels the turning circle was much better, plus shed-loads of torque and better economy. In fact, I think that was my all-time favourite car.

Ive got a 2.0 N/A volvo V40 with 234,000 on the clock, and its never missed a beat, gearbox fell out of it (renault item on this car) but other than that its only ever had routine servicing, its never needed ANY repairs at all during those miles.

They do just seem to be very well made cars.
