Just the back box will fit unless you get a custom made one for a "ford"

back box, u clap, job done

I used to have a jap style cut off end one on my third old rst sound pukka that was custom made tho, sounded like a heavy big power trackor, rev'ing it & could hear the turbo at the back ggrrrrrrrrr through

You could do like some of the Jap boys do.

Pay £700 for a mild steel "big name HKS/Blitz" type exhaust and then wonder why it goes rusty and falls to bits two years later.

Oh dear.

Engine note is mostly down to the engine its strapped to, "Jap" exhausts are no different to any other.

Your Cossie zorst dont sound as good as a Supra or Skyline one and it never will, as its attached to a normal 4cyl engine rather than a howling straight6 .

All exhaust have a diff, similar note... i wouldnt be expecting to put my 320i box on my tub expecting to sound a 6pot

My old rst sounded next to near diff from other rst's, ppl would ask about it, also japs make them sound more louder & with a fresh deep note

you certainly did, and i loved the exhaust note from my supra too!

check the siggy son! lol

i understand that the supra is a 3ltr v6 which of course causes more grunt through the exhaust but as others have said the jap exhausts provide a fresh deep note that is not comparible to the cossie

HOWEVER, driving with my rear windows open the cossie exhaust sounds quality, is this what people hear on the outside when i drive past or is the noise multiplied through the car and by having the rear window open??

I think you will find the supra was a straight 6 not a v6

ha bloody fucking ha

the simple question i asked was would a japanese exhaust sytem fit on a cossie, and the back box would make a different to sound.

BUT..

People always have to start speaking shit and taking the piss

it is a perfect legit question

I think its a fair question, that should have been put slightly differently There are a lot of Japanese exhausts out there with much larger bore ranges than those available to the Cosworth - where the biggest standard bore size is 3"? Although dont quote me on that So I think the question holds some validity if taken within context

Are the jap exhausts the ones that are made out of tubular steel with silencer boxes in them?

If so, my mrs has one of those on her transit van, but it doesnt sound very jap for some reason??

Hate to say it, but just like in the UK, all Blitz/HKS/etc etc exhausts have been full stainless steel for YEARS

Its only back in the old days, just like the UK, where they wasnt stainless.
