Default how do i convince my mate NOT to by a scoob?

his mate just bought a P1 scooby (which he recons is <4secs 0-60 )

so now he wants to go out n get a WRX Sti import (he quoted me 280bhp?) in an attempt to keep up wiv him...

i OBVIOUSLY suggested R32 GTR or Saph Cossie

he doesnt seem to understand that scooby WRXes are NOT rally cars from the telly also he seems to be stuck into beleiving that as standard theyre the fastest cars on the planet

pleeeease, help me to convince him to get either an evo, an R32, or a SaphCos

Piston 3 (* pop *)

Mates on his 4th engine in 12 months now with his WRX. I used to be really fond of the Imprezza, now I wouldn't pee on one if it were on fire. I've got 3 friends that have or have had them and all of them had monumental bills with them

They handle well and are very capable cars it just seems half the bits are made from either tinfoil or chocolate.

That's easy- just let him drive one! Nasty hydraulic clutches and totally poo in standard form IMO.

You should tell your mate to ignore you, and go buy the scooby, which is 50 times either of those cars.

You're talking about a brand new Scoob against a 15 year old Ford Sapphire - if he has the money for the scoob, and buys the saff, he's an idiot

Had my scoob for 14 months now and haven't even had as much as a bulb blow in it as for chassis balance and basic handling characteristics the scoob really does walk all over my escort cosworth!

However my Cossie definately would have the edge in a straightline, depends where you get your driving kicks from I suppose.

also is there a nicer sounding engine than a burbling, boxer?

having said that, after going to National Day yesterday, boy are Escort Cossies the dog danglies or what, really do wish I hadn't sold mine and will probably start looking for another shortly
