Default ANY VAUXHALL MECHANICS HERE?

I would really appreciate some help from anyone who knows about vauxhall cars.I have a vauxhall astra 1.7 turbo diesel estate (1996) which is my winter car.Gotta keep the rs turbo off the road and away from the horrors of winter weather somehow. For a while now, when the cooling fan cuts in when it gets too hot,It doesnt cut out until the engine is switched off.During the last 2 weeks ive noticed the fan comes on after 2 miles and runs constantly and never goes off.You could almost count to 100 and the fan comes on.All ive done so far is disconnect the rad fan switch but the bloody fan kept going.I havent got a clue as to what the hell is going on.Anyone here got any ideas?

No mate it hasnt. Its funnt how all things happen at once though.after the fan started playing up the air bag light started coming on when you welly it and then goes off when you decelarate.I have found that to be the alternator overcharging.Couldnt be linked could it?

If the alternator is overcharging it's possible it is casuing alsorts of strange electrical faults.

Get that sorted then go from there.
