well mine definately has 4, as marked counted them on saturday, as he wasnt sure if it was a cometic or not.

Think a cometic gasket has 3 and a mountune WRC has 4..

it could be a copy but does not necessarily mean it will not work

Looks like a cometic, if so they work great for 430bhp.

I wasnt being sarcastic.

It looks like a cometic in the picture, but may be a copy of one as it doesnt say its a cometic.

Its NOT what gets referred to normally as a "WRC gasket" and costs about 400 quid, but im sure you knew that already!

Cometic gaskets are PERFECT for 430bhp, however i personally wouldnt buy something as important as a gasket off ebay as i wouldnt trust it wasnt a second or a copy etc, i would buy it from someone like PJ Motorsport or from MSD etc

PS

It MUST be fitted between two flat surfaces, you need the head and block to be checked for flatness and skimmed/ground if they arent flat or it wont last (just like a WRC one)

It could be the Mountune "budget" 3 layer item, I would not be surprised if it was made to Mountunes spec by Cometic:

http://www.mountuneonline.com/acatalog/C84156.html

Head gasket - 3 layer Supersteel Ref: C841
This 3 layer gasket was developed as an alternative to the four layer WRC gasket. It features "fire ring technology" which results in increased sealing properties around the cylinder bore (compared to a standard gasket). This allows higher boost levels to be achieved.(RRP £225.00)

Price: £185.00 (Excluding: VAT at 17.5%, delivery and shipping)

In any way thats relevant on a well mapped 430bhp roadgoing YB?
NO

The cometic is fine for that application, Stu@MSD uses them at that level too normally i believe, although obviously better to check with him than take my word for it.

UPDATE- i got in contact with the seller and he said this

The original Reinz WRC gasket is 4 layer. This gasket is a 3 layer with firering, a later type supplied by Raceline/Mountune.

Does it look like a firering WRC?? i dont want to be ripped off here!
