Default Motronic 2.7 ECU with AFM single TB versus ITB's (Stu@MSD??)

Not really sure if anyone other than maybe Stu is going to know a lot about this but worth a try.

The motronic 2.7 ECU as far as i know works like this:
Mapped RPM vs AFM
MAP sensor essentially just used for boost cut (and possibly some minor enrichments?)
TPS used to help the transient fuelling

So if im correct on that, would swapping from a single TB to multiple TB's be a sensible option without needing a remap as the AFM is still going to see the same flow of air as it did on the singles?
You can CERTAINLY get away with things like a cam swap without a remap whcih would never be possibe on a MAP based system like a cossie of course!

Is the boost used to make enrichemnts though, and if so to what extent?, as then obviously that will change things slightly (although i suspect not enough to be an issue anyway), but im not convinced that it is?

Anyone know?

where would you gain by using ITB and a mass air flow meter

The standard manifold gives poor distribution, but there is a readily available set of throttle bodies complete with ally plenum that will bolt straight on that someone i know wants to use, also potentially a little better throttle response from having a plenum full of boost just behind the throttle potentially.

PS

Personally i would say stay single TB, but i want to understand the implications of if ITB's can easily be ran on this setup as its something i find interesting.

sounds intresting chip,,,, i know nothing about the motronic system though,,, would the mass air flow sensors be able to read the incresed airflow from the tuned motor?

ahh rip it all off and speed density the bugger

It will cope to the level in question, and you can always extend the range by putting it in a bigger tube anyway of course, but obviously then you are into remap territory
