Default MFI HP fuel pipe - pump (banjo) to metal fuel line (push fit)

Hi guys

In the process of recommissioning the RST and need to replace the HP fuel pipe that goes from pump to metal fixed fuel line. On the side of metal fuel line it's push fit connector (which has failed)

Any ideas where I can source another from? Struggling to find one.

Is the same part used on any other models?

Cheers

Use a cutting ring fitting on the metal fuel line.

Thanks, but how does that work exactly. As it's the plastic push fit connector on the hose/pipe that's failed

I got my replacement from eBay, it was a while ago and I’ve not looked for one since. It done away with the plastic fitting to the hardline and had an olive type compression fitting.

Cheers, been searching eBay for a while for full hose. No joy

Did you use the same type of compression fitting that XR2 recommends. Did you source parts from UK?

Great thanks mate for link, understood.

Is that part the correct size for this application then?

Shame that's In Germany, think I'll be able to source from a UK supplier? Maybe hydraulics parts companies?

Yes, that's for the 8 mm metal fuel line and the bigger (8 mm outside, 6 mm inside) red polyamide fuel line. This is a perfect fit as you won't need any adaptors then. Just push the connector into the polyamide fuel line and screw it onto the metal line.

These parts are used for hydraulics, too. Still it's not easy to get all the parts for such a neat fit, you might have to buy the connector for the polyamide fuel line, the one for the metal line and one or two adaptors between. Just be careful to buy a connector for a polyamide/plastic fuel line, the ones for rubber hoses look similar, but are different!
