Question? Can I report this to the police and would they be able to anything about it, or should I just close the account, tell EBAY to stick the unpaid fees and put it down to experience?

he's hacked your account to try and get you back, bit too much of a coincidence that it totals £70 which is only just under what you sold the headunit for...

Just got an email from Ebay help saying that my account has been listing things without my authorization. They suspended my account until I reactivate it. Thankfully, EBAY seems to have done what i wanted anyway so I'll leave it at that I think and just not use it anymore.

At first he said it would cost another £49.50 to put his old stereo back in, but then he says..
'First off the Ford Galaxy 2001 has an entirely different connection set up it runs off a type on din system not an iso connector, the iso connector cost £19.95 an fitting and wiring cost £30.00 totaling
£49.95'.
So therefore he just needs to unplug the iso connector, get a refund on that, and plug his old stereo back in.

DaveZS, I know this, but I think he thinks I'm an idiot, but bugger it. I know I was right, he can live with trying to take me for a mug and it not paying off.

Matt - I think you are 110% in the right, and this goof is trying to take you for a fool!
FFS, I workded for Halfords once upon a time - where the staff are muppets (no offence to anyone on here who might work there ) and yet even they know you don't have to "re-wire" a car to accept a headunit! So the Pioneer has an ISO block input and the Galaxy has DIN plugs on the end? So you buy a fucking £15 ISO-to-Ford-DIN connector made by Autoleads from Halfords and put it inbetween. Where's the "re-wire" in that? Blokes a cock end......
Good to see you stood your ground, but a shame you had to loose money (having it tested etc) and that he's fucked your ebay account tho
