decisions decisions...
spend good money on my 4i and get it how i want it (im talking really doog money)
or get another good nick XR4x4 TwinTurbo for 1k
what shall i do i have no opinions of my own
i'm thinking that maybe RWD isnt for me... yeah its good for fun things, but it does scare me in the wet, and itll be ever worse with another 100bhp ontop
the reason i moved away from the 2.9TT side of things was that i was heartbroken when mine went up in flames n couldnt face it happeneing again... but i think im over that now n fancy getting back on with t all... afterall i did love my twinturbos

If the 4i is a good solid car why not just keep that and turbo it
Will a twin turbo 4i be quicker than a twin turbo 4x4 being as its only 2wd ?

In all honesty Jim I quite like your 4i. And nicely done ones are few and far between. I have to be honest and say I was quite surprised how much torque it had as standard.
If you want another 4x4TT then do it. If you throw money at a car you don't really like or want you'll end up kicking yourself.

i think that £ for £ i would be happier with the 4x4TT.

as long as the turbos dont break (they should be ok they only got 5k on the clock) the thing should be cheap as chips and also not need lotsa suff doing to it...
it would only be about 220-240bhp but that should be more than adequate

jim jim jim... same again... you're looking to buy a house in possibly one of the most expensive locations in the country and your debating this... FFS get a runaround, lose the 4x4tt fixation - (you don't have much luck with these do you).. and if the 4i scares you then don't press the fookin pedal so hard!!! my mrs hated the tvr til i pointed out that it ony goes as fast as you press the pedal... you don't have to go flat out everywhere anymore!!! you're 21 after all (and congratulations!) !!! if everyone on this board went fullon steaming everywhere there''d probably be 500 members left inside a month and they'd be the ones with broken cars!!

Buy a good solid reliable car, and leave it alone.
Then buy a car to tinker with if you must so that you can't have any more "I bodged the car, and now I can't go here, there, and everywhere" stories............

Jim, get rid of the xr41 and spend some dosh on a decent car, If u want to go xr4x4tt then spend as much as u can on the car in the first place, even if it means leaving tinkering for a bit, u will be in a better position in the long run.

Jim whatever floats your boat.
I know where you come from.
I have an xr2i which i use to tinker around in, reliable 60K on the clock drives fine.
Then the sapphy is parked up and i use it weekends, track days e.t.c.
If i take stuff aprt im not desperate to get it back together for work on Monday.
Get yourself a small car which will return 40 to the gallon and then hammer your other car and smile when you get 16mpg
