Default BMW 530d sport

ANyone had one? What are they like etc?

See they have come down £ a bit. Might be in my option of cars, but i think it might be heavy on the mpg and insurance for my everyday use but who knows.

Not the new shape, but older one. Not sure what they are called from Yish to 52 plate?

My dad says pretty damn quick, he had one on demo for a day when they were new, says he couldn't get its arse end quite out.

Fella I know bought one last september, Y plate sport touring, he said its one of the nicest things hes ever driven, can do 0-60 in under 10 secs and still be doing 40mpg+. Best all rounder he has had

Theyre meant to be cheapish in price now to say what your getting for your money.

Hope this helps

e39 you mean

Cracking car but only heavy on fuel if you boost it everywhere - unsurprisingly!

Think i'd rather have a 330d touring myself, and then turn up at track days with it and put down some respectable times!

Incidently didn't top gear mag put a 535d estate around the track? quicker than the new golf gti?!

Was written in WhatCar once that it could keep up with the a porsche boxter so your statement is probably true.

Great cars! 40mpg isn't unachievable either

IMHO you're better off with one of these than a Merc, don't forget the 525d either

I have drove my Boss's 530d and its an absolute dream to drive.
Plenty of power as standard. just make sure if its an auto that the box is
working well cause if not its able to limit the power somehow and it feels
like the engine is fucked.

I have driven his car for 3 hours straight and got out feeling fresh as a daisy.

I would have one myself if the wern't so fucking expensive to tax in this
fucking country ( about €1200 ).

By the M kitted one, they are well

By the way he has sold his recently a bought a Range Rover Diesel and hates it. He's now on the look out for a new 535d.

530d sport can be had for around £10k, expect one with pretty high ish miles though, which of course is not a problem anyway.

Id have a 5 over a 3 any day. Much better car in my opinion.
