After a bit of advice - how easy are helicoils to fit?

I grasp the theory, but whats the practice like?

They are well expensive mate to buy the installation kit etc just for 1 job.

Its probably worth taking it to someone who already has all the kit etc.

Can get the kit locally for Ł19

Will cost Ł8 each to have them fitted at engine recon place - reckon there are 3-4 of them needing doing.

I'm still in two minds!!!

Looks like we're going to have a crack at it

One of the lads I mountain bike with has done em before and is going to make up a drill guide to make sure we go sqaure with the drill
