Default anyone know anything about addington and surounding areas ?

just wondering as where toying with the idea of buying a new place and thinking as a area theres alot of green area and at a price that we can afford and not add much ontop from selling our place

so honest opinions and if people say its ruff ect then i wanna know EXACTLY how as i dont mind rough areas,,,,,, just not junkie filled ones, nothing wrong with living next door to a bank robber imo as i can always loan a tenner till the weather breaks pmsl

other ideas is hertfordshire area as thats as good but thats gona raise our money more and ideally id rather not as im more into living my life rather than having a flash house and shopping at aldi for chicken and rice all week

I live down the road from there in thornton heath, Addington is a shithole mate you don't want to move there. Try a bit more south like purley/coulsdon its alot nicer up there.

Addington or New Addington? big difference ginge.

New Addington is a lot better than it was but wouldn't exactly be on my top 10 list of places to go!
there are lanes and woods out to one side then mostly fields around the estate. there are a few parks. public transport is only really the tram service into croydon, but they're pretty good really. are you looking at a specific property or just the general area as some bits of addo are worse than others.

Addington village is fine though :thumb:
