Not too sure on what it will cost tbh, but in princable it should be just the same as a plate rention.

But like Ginge said, Make sure you do this while the car is still FULLY roadworthy

Stretch i rang em yesterday and they told me best job would be to put my plate on retention as im selling it! Which will cost 80 for the transfer and 25 for putting it on retention so 105 in total.

But this means that when u get another car you want to put it on you can jus get it done with no charge.

I was going to put the plate on my daily runner for a bit but i would of have to have paid 80 quid to tranfer it to my daily runner then 80 quid again when i wanted to put it back on another RS (when i buy 1).

I would just go for a drive down to Swansea mate and do it over the counter but to be sure give em a ring first and check you can still do that. when i rang yesterday i was going to drive down to Bristol and do it but they said they dont do it over the counter anymore down there so it would be just as easy to post it.

My 3dr had a private plate on when i bought it.
Had to wait untill the guy had transfered his private plate off the 3dr to something else before picking it up.
My 3dr was then assigned its originl plate which was nice

This has also hapened before in the cars life as well.
