Default anyone done the nurburgring??

me and a couple of mates of thinking of doing the ring in the next month or so but im a bit worried about taking my cossie all that way, after all we all know what they are like. Ive just spent 2k on upgrades throughout the car so im hoping she'll be fine for the trip. Just wondered if anyone else had done it and was it worth the trip. Also which way did you go??....we,ve mapped out 2 routes, one of which is a much shorter drive docking at rotterdam.
Im really looking forward to it but apprehensive at the same time if you know what i mean.......just want to bring the cossie home in one piece

I did it a couple of years ago,2004,

fooking great week,

we went :

from Uk Ford Fair-Holiday Inn in Chatham
from there on the chunnel then on to Brussels(HolidayInn)Monday, from there toTroisdorf holidayInn(Tuesday) to the Nurburgring(Wednesday)
back to Holiday Inn at Troisdorf(Wednesday night) to Calais,YES the holiday Inn (Thursday) return Home on Friday.

One of the best weeks EVER
all paid for free by the Central RSOC, for 3 years organising Traders at Regional Day.

I am planning a similar trip for next year.

Decent breaks and suspension mate thats all you need. You dont have to kill your cars around the RING. Last September my engine was on its last legs and used of 10 litres of oil, this year it used just over a litre and i stuffed in into the barrier

You have to go for the experience mate

Been a good few times and never really had any issues, apart from the electric window motor shorting out, what resulted all 4 windows up for the rest of the trip
