Only answer anyone on here can give you is "Ask your mapper" as it MAY be disabled in your software.

A million people will now tell you it is always disabled in Pectel software, well, i did some testing with one last week on L8 and it IS NOT. It has teh same 6 degree retard map as a std file. P8 may be different.

Ask the mapper.

*Edited to clarify and then again for poor spelling*

I would advise you to leave it plugged in and on the engine it may not be disabled within the software .

Yes. But does it work is teh question as MANY mappers of pectel have told MANY customers that the strategies are NOT active in teh Pectel Software.

Since i dont use it often i have never had any great interest in fidning out, and only found out with L8 last week when doing knock tests with a car that was in for mapping with a knock link fited and realising to my interest the car was running Pectel software that supposedly would not retard upon hearing knock.
