question? why has the fuel pressure regulator been messed with?ie/ my saff is running greens and fuel pressure has been raised so that it doesnt run lean on high boost.if your car is standard, and you are looking for a base setting.warm the engine up to temp, turn the screw anticlockwise untill the engine starts to hunt, that means the mixture is weak.then turn it clockwise untill it idles evenly.drive to your nearest mot station and get the emmisions checked.if it is ok then drive to stu, but keep it off boost.might be a slow journey but cheaper than a melted piston
Mate just go to your nearest MOT station and ask then nicely to put it on a CO machine and set it at 3-4% this will be fine to drive on then book it in with ENGINE ADVANTAGES to have it set up correctly

The problem with the regs once fooked with is they tend to leak.
They have a hydraulic sealant applied to the threads in production and the tamperproof seal on top is also airtight for a reason. When over zealous mechanics wind it down to teh point it stops, they often nip the internal diaghragm and it becomes unreliable.
If this reg leaks i cannot do the work i need to do on friday without fitment of a new one. Its easy to test for a leak but the engine needs to be running for you to do so. Simply wet your finger and place it over the hole in the top, if you feel a slight "Sucking" on your finger, its FUBAR and needs replacing.
