Not unless they have your PIN number, or a full set of identification in your name with their picture, and can answer all those annoying security questions set up by banks.

I'd still go for a cheque for safety's sake

I brought a SECS monitor off Mike Rainbird and deposited the money in his account.

He asked the deposit to be called my name...

So it appeared on his account statement

Mark Smith..........£265.00GBP.......Credit

If you catch my drift.....

V safe mate, we accept CHAPS and BACS payments all the time

Look at it this way, it's only the same information you give to people when you write them a cheque

This is the only way I transfer money now. I have a paypal account that hasnt been used in years.

Even my parents were sceptical about giving me details for their accounts so I could reimburse them so you are not alone.

Any payment I do here is all online to other peoples accounts/bills etc.

By providing those details, the absolute worst that can be done is they set a direct debit up with your account details but they would have to have the same name as you and all the other credentials. Not like passing a credit card no. out.

I put "hardcore anal sex" as a reference on transfer i did to someone recently, just for amusement factor when their accountant is working out where the money is coming and go from

i heard about that scam ages ago and worse names than that

product was never sent

people where too embarressed to ring there bank up to question the payments only petty cash £20 each payment

the actual sellers made thousands on the scam

actually you dont even need there name to send the cash

via phone bank ..just sort code and account number ...

ive paid a few users on here with bank transfers ..much safer than paypal
