Default Something a bit different from the norm, Kit Car Show pics

Went to Newark Kit Car Show this morning. Just got a couple of nice pics I thought you guys might appreciate.

Very good panel gaps and finish on the above cars, and big engines in them all. There was obviously some old tosh as well, but these really impressed me.

And this one's a real Ford Gran Torino, a la Starsky and Hutch.

hows it going trev? thats the trouble with kits, normally look good from a distance and then close up the finish is crap, massive door gaps, bubbles in the f/glass etc, brass screws/caps holding the dash in there are some quality ones about though, you just cant rush building them

Hi Nick, yes, I'm okay mate, how are you?
Yes, I know what you mean, there was some class stuff but there were some real crud too. The Cobra replicas are generally really nice but then you get those Nova things that are probably one of the first kit cars, and they look awful imo. I love those lambo reps but I doubt I'd fit in them.

Drove past it today.

Never seen so much polished plastic and fiberglass on the road

Took me a while to gather there was a show on - then remembered it was the kit car show but didn't have time to stop

From what I saw on the road it looked as good as normal

Yes, it was pretty good. I ended up buying a mega socket set with ratchet bar, torque bar etc, and big sockets going up to 50mm for Ł28. Bargain!
It's a good place to get bits from. And some very nice cars too.
