Default Anyone used a Battery Cable Junction box???

Its a little black box with usually 2x or 3x 8mm ternials studs inside.

You can then connect the battery cable to the studds and any extra wiring accessory circuits.

Ive got a number of circuits running to the battery such that there are a lot of wires on the battery post. So thought one of these would solve that.

Anybody ever seen or used one???

Depending on the number of connections and the gauge of the cable - you can buy battery terminals for ICE installs that can take 2 x 4AWG, 2x 8AWG and 4 16AWG for about £5 from Maplins

Yes, but Ive got nice Quick release ones.

And i want to try and get the extra wires away from the battery post.

With one of these junction boxes I could have one cable to the post, the other extra wires all into the junction box on the bulkhead........

Fair enough - that makes sense

Have you any pics of the distribution box?

Most of the ones i've dealt with have been ICE install jobbies...

another good place to take it from is the alternator - this is actually where the current comes from.

As said, even the old bmw's had these in the engine bay.

Mk5 escorts had a little fuse box that bolted directly to the battery terminal which then had about five 50-100amp fuses inside. then you can attach wires to the other side of the fuse terminal using a bolt and a eyelet terminal to then run off to your circuits.

Makes the whole lot look tider and it's all fused aswell.
