I had it a couple of years ago. Hurt like hell for a week and then took another week to finally go completely.

Ice cream soothes it......

If you gargle soluble paracetamol it helps abit. Nothing will work as good as antibiotics though, so get yourself to the doctors and get some. My sister had it a few weeks ago and she was really bad with it, she is still not 100% but the antibiotics take away the infection.

She was told to take paracetamol and ibubrofen every 4 hours. The ibuprofen helps with the swelling and the paracetamol helps with the temperature. She tried the sprays and stuff but they didn't really help her, she had it really bad though she had green and yellow stuff on her tonsils!!

Aaaaaahhhhhh you poor cow. Really feeling for you hun. Me and BillyCabrio am prone to it and suffer really badly.

We live on Asprin which takes the pain away and keeps ya tempreature down. Lots of soup, you have to keep eating and toast, yes it hurts but it's the roughness.

And loads of sleep cause it's gunna wear ou out!!!!

Just gettin over havin it and fook me it was sore ,although i started off havin the flu first then onto tonsilities ....

i lost over half a stone in weight as i couldnt eat ,i also took an alergic reaction and my glands trebbled in size with beechams blackcurrant drink ,couldnt talk ,slept through day and couldnt sleep at night ,then my throat was so badly swollen and delicate that i coughed in the bathroom and covered the sink in blood had only went and burst a blood vessel in me throat thats fookin really sore

ended up on liquid penicillan and was told to be careful as id maybe have to dash to A+E through the night if it started to swell even more

however im gettin better but still really groggy throat in the mornin and still a bit sore first thing
