Thats definitely picked bits up.......Was the motor washed out properly when it was rebuilt ?

Check ALL the big ends and mains and blow out all the oil ways before you rebuild it....

Don't know Jase, only found out when i removed the dizzy to fit my oil pump drive. Tried to spin the pump and it had a tight spot, glad i removed the engine now as i don't think it would of lasted too much longer

Pump is before the oil filter isn't it.

The dirt will of got picked up before going into the engine by the filter hence shells looks Ok
