Default Cold Start probs

When i start my car from cold, the revs just fall flat. Theres no raised revs for a min or so like there should be and i have to sit there holding the revs at 1500 until she starts to get warm.

I tried my iscv which i thought was the problem in another cossie and it worked fine so it cant be that. Im getting voltage to the plug that controls the iscv. Have changed the blue water temp sensor at the back of the head but no difference. Can anyone shed any light on it please?

i'd say faulty loom too.

if the ISCV works fine but not in your car then youve either got a SHIT chip, a FUCKED ecu, or a dodgy loom.

mine was actually a joke

but he could be right you know rich.

only 4 possible things it can be.

ECU ?
Loom ?
ISCV - Think you said you've already ruled this one out
Another Sensor (ATS, WTS) ??????

The connector was checked with a noid light and it lit up so i thought that would have ruled out the loom.

Jim you obviously havent been keeping up with my big post on having my car set up. Do you know what chip i have
See my sig

So that leaves the ecu which i doubt seeing as there doesnt seem to be anything else wrong with the car.

WTS is new

Try it with the wires on teh ISCV valve reversed in case someones fitted teh wrong valve at some point.

The cold start system requires CTS, MAP sensor and TPS to be perfect.

The Positive to the ISCV is shared with teh fuel pump and amal valve, the negative is supplied by the ecu to create a valve position.

Stu,

Will give that a try. Is there any markings on the iscv that may give it away if the wrong type has been fitted? The amal valve clicks when you disconnect and re-connect so obviously the postive side of things is working ok.

what is the CTS?
