make a 2 ltr zetec bottom end out to ??

i mean with boreing out and or long stroking the crank ???

, just been having a natter with one of the lads i work we and he was asking me ??

also , is it possible to use the bottom end from a galaxy into a turbo conversion ( the 2.3 16 valve ?) or could u zvh one ??

galaxy2.3 is a I4 not a zetec so probably not,most ive seen is a 2.2,but that doesnt meanyou cant go further,suppose the only limit is how much physical space there is for the crank to be extended(and get a spacer plate on top of the block) but hey,im no expert!

if its going on a turbo motor, just up the boost? why spent ŁŁŁŁ on long stroke cranks and rebores + pistons? drop the c/r, and chuck more boost through it?

its not mate its just curiosity from a question i got asked at work thats all

for what ud pay for a long throw crank u could have top notch pistons and steel rods

i know that u wouldnt need to do it , just a case of how far u could go with one ?

One's a galaxy engine and one's a escort engine.......

The I4 engine is the one fitted to the Galaxy, RS2000 16v and some of the scorpios, It was based on the old Sierra 2.0 DOHC 8v. Where as the Zetec was started from scratch not based on an old design.
