Also if you know about maps and changing them, you wouldnt be putting water in.

Dunno what the problem is, I run my car off water all the time. 
Thats the whole point of water injection!
Take it back to Ford, ask them to load a map on that will deal with water instead of fuel, tell em the chap off the internet sent ya

my day just gets worse
had a knock on the door this morning, the water board are going to prosecute me. Aparently my neighbor across the road who doesn't like me very much has reported me for using my hose pipe on my car, he must of seen me filling my car up with it as I only wash it with a bucket and sponge
will phone Ford at 9am to complain still.

Just spoken with Ford
to be honest they weren't very helpful, they dont think the problem is the MAP. I mentioned about the water and the bloke laughed at me!!
so i'm guessing it MAY be the cause of my problem
