Default Ford diagnostic tools

I see this site http://www.gendan.co.uk/ sells diagnostic tools, i want to buy one to help diagnose problem on my car. Is hand held better to pc one?

recently had an abs sensor problem on my 2002 ford fiesta and took it to my local car electrician who used a handheld diagnostic and it didnt read anything. Ended up havin to go to ford and gettin them to check it with there machine and costing me £200 to supply and fit then test the sensor.

how do you mean? I need to read ecu fault code, local garage charge £60+ it be investment for me in long term.

ofcourse it not tell you exactly with logic will help me diagnose what is wrong.

whats the car and the prob may be able to do it from here and save you money, i agree with the other posts often codes given do not relate to what the fault actually is

My £300 car is a mk4 fiesta with 1.6 zetec engine from puma and puma ecu. The mil is on but car drive fine i guess sensor fail somewhere do this would help find sensor no? I know i will have problem in future diagnostic software or handheld is investment for me. I just want to know which is better pc or hand held?
