Default wankers at reading cruise

went down to reading tonight with a few friends, was quite packed considering we didnt arrive till about 9.30. the first car we saw was a 51 plate 530i doing donuts with a chive at the wheel and a smashed up windscreen.knew instantly it was stolen, anyway by about 10.45 the fuckers had completely torched it right outside the bed shop.

so yet another waste of a good cruise location and some more bad press for us

Waste of a good car mate.............and people wonder why these cruises are full of wankers and people won't go. Not rocket science is it.

the cruise scene is dead IMO, now just a chavvy load of bollocks.

It always was, of course, but not like it is now

TBH It sounds like you had over an hour of watching a "potentially" stolen car and no one did shit. Calling the Police might of helped relations between the 2 groups. Demonstrate to the Police that you are just car enthusiasts and they'll (possibly) deal with you sensibly.

tbh mate it wasnt a case of watching the car for an hour, as soon as me and the missus saw what was happening we left. and as for phoning the police i have been on the receiving end before and it wasnt pleasant hence the reason we left and didnt get involved

the usual suspects then!still, it'd be good to get a good description to give to police so that it may be put to putting them away!my old S2 got keyed a couple of times and i was gutted.prob why i feel so strongly about it!

on another note, i didnt realise how many peeps there were from on here that went to reading cruise?!

Maybe not you, but if nobody else does anything then this shit continues. And you (Cruisers) suffer And other motorits suffer because insurance goes ever upwards.

Besides 999 from a PhoneBox is fairly anonymous.

Don't tell Lorraine that (sassy) as she's adamant it was hers but yes, the car was owned by them and sold to a bloke locally.

You can pinpoint the *exact* second cruises stopped being about people who loved cars, and changed to people who thought they should love cars.

End of the day, cruises used to be about quick tidy motors that were fun to drive, it was a social event really, and a few donuts/burn outs etc were all good fun and made it a bit more interesting, but now its just wankers with 1.1 saxos, 1.2 corsas and all manner of stupid wanky body kits and 19" wheels stuck on them with some lexus lights , most real car enthusiasts stay well away as the chance of some prick in a stolen car smashing into you is sky high and the police can't tell the difference between a crim and a car enthusiast

Me and a few mates actually walked up to a police T5 and pointed out a stolen car as it came into the car park a few years ago in birmingham, and the coppers did fuck all, waited for the car to be torched ( we had told them 3 times by then, and it was a good half hour after they arrived ) as it was an excuse to shut the whole thing down.

Lucky now we have Pf meets to go to , talk to decent people who like cars not being cocks

I went here once with Eagle, Frog, Mrs Frog, Paddy and a few others about 2 years ago ...I dont think any of us have been back since as its a huge accident waiting to happen.

Its not the local boys you want to worry about as they dont really shit on their own doorstep (well not that badly) but the ones from out the area who literally dont give a shit and think its funny to piss in other peoples pockets......

Its worth giving this and other so called cruises a wide berth in case either you or someone you know gets hurt next! Its a bit too late putting your seat belt on after you've gone through the windscreen .....
