Default nitrous ppl is this kit any good ?

for a 4cylinder car ie 1.6 astra 1.8 xr3i cossie motor ?ect ect or is it complete shite

I have a Nitrous Express dry kit with purge for sale. Has been in my old car but was never actually filled or used. Only thing missing are the intructions and the actual button, which you can get hold of really easily. 14lb bottle when empty. Was brought from Simon cornissia or what ever the company is called

Cost over £500 new,

dry kit is no good for an injected motor. (please no nitrous experts point out the pointless and irrelevant flaw in this statement )

also imho nitrous express kit isnt good for ANY motor

buy a new WON kit, im sure chip-3door can get youa discount if you ask nicely

it's commonly accepted (even by the manufacturers themselves ) that the solenoids are SHIT and the bits of the kit (ie lines, joiners etc.) are just for show and actually perform worse than the nylon type tubin WON provide

also the dry kit will add no extra fuel on gas hence not suitable

Agree with Jim, NX kits are pretty cheap and nasty imo. They're still using solenoids aswell aren't they? WON have been using pulsoids for a while now and they outperform the NX kit in all the fields.

* holds head in shame to have to admit this *

Jim is right, lol

NX kits are "ok" for fixed hit use on a larger engine, but totally unsuitable for getting big gains reliabley from a road car.

Ive seen people try and match the sort of power increases that ive had on a 2.0 16v vauxhall engine using an NX kit and they couldnt do it, not even close.

Now either that means that i have godlike powers or it means the WON kits are far better.
Id like it to be the first reason, but sadly its the second, the kits are just head and shoulders better for small size engines as ONLY the WON kits are acutally suitable for progressive use, and the only way to get reliable power from a small engine on big increases is progressively (or staged but thats just a crude variation on the same principle and is expensive to implement anyway as it means multiple solenoids)

So to sum up, it will work, but it wont be the best solution for the engines you talk about.

Anythings ok for a flat 4. They piss oil out from the factory and sound like a bag of spanners, so what differance does a rod through the casing make.
