great sport, especially for the fitness side of things. Have been practising for a few years on and off. Its very demanding, have had a few amatuer fights and quite enjoyed it. All the best with, be sure to stick with it.

kickboxing fitness is nothing compared to boxing fitness. I'm sure other boxers will back me up on this.
I might try muay thai (sp?) one day...me and a few mates went to that trojan gym to have a look and it looks quite good

Belted in Chinese Kickboxing and Muay Thai Matt, it's awesome for flexibility and fitness, you'll use muscles you never thought existed

I train with an ex-UK champion, and while I'm no Van Damme, I'm not terrible. Great fun as well... really nice guys.. usually because they're pretty 'hard' there's no falseness in them. From what I've seen, anyway.

Was gonna say that muay thai has also got same fittness as boxing but read on and you did say something about it.

i do muay thai in london and also boxing, their the most effective,

ive heard of the trojan gym...is that the one in wolverhampton???

Problem is with Muay Thai (that I found), it's bloody brutal. Injuries are a lot more frequent, elbows and knees don't really apply in Chinese, probably a good thing, or I'd be in serious trouble by now

Used to do it years ago. Excellent way of keeping fit, and there is no better stress relief than kicking your mates head in for an hour.
