advise a newbie pls
right basically i wanna get back in shape/fit.
im 28 soon 6'2" 80kgs
im not really fat or overweight, but i wanna get fit again.
im a builder so do an active job, im about to go back to kickboxing 3-4 nights a week, 2hrs a day,
i eat toast or cereal for breakfast, sarnies for lunch and a fairly healthy home cooked meal for dinner, most days, have the odd takeaway/cafe lunch, but no real crisps, sweets, deserts, cakes...
i do drink a lot of coffee tho, not too much fizzy drinks, but also not a lot of water, but im trying to drink more of it.
basically im wondering what else i could/should be doing to improve/help getting back in shape.
especially diet.
i dont wanna give up food i enjoy but will try a bit more fruit and veg in my diet.
anything i should definately have/avoid
when im not kickboxing i run/jog 2 miles and do 30-50 situps/push ups.
sounds like i should be fitter than i am on paper, lol
but i havent been doing that much exercise until i started this again.
the other thing is i have a very large appetite, if i have a ready made meal as the mrs is out or something i usually have 2, and i can quite eaily have 2 sarnies at lunch and still go to the cafe.
i know im over eating and i dont need the food, but i am hungry, im not eating for fun.
is there an easy way to cut down without feeling hungry later? especially at night?
i get pain in the stomach when i go to bed if i havent eaten enough.
any1 advise me on where to imrove things?

Try eating more often but smaller portions, don't be afraid to experiment, what works good for one person won't for another. You have just got to keep trying different things until you find something that works for you. When you do get hungry try making a vegetable wrap (stir fried or raw) or something similar, it still fills you up and you don't have to feel guilty about eating it.
