Very proud of the new saff!
Took my car up to central day this weekend and i'm very happy with it.
Took it up sat afternoon, gave it a spanking on the way up there, to show it to neil, who hadnt been in it before. (4 up)
Took it to the pod on sunday, ran it three times (consecutively) within the space of an hour (ish) with lots of queuing in between, all with the engine running, fans cutting in an out, and some hard launching, once i got the hang of it.
Then drove it all the way home (4 up) including a little play with a 911, but struggled due to the bodies (and luggage) in the car.
Since having bought the car 3 months ago, i have spent precisely 90 quid on it (2 tanks of juice), checked the oil and coolant, and thats it!!!
On its run at the weekend it used just over a quarter of a tank on 130+ miles
Its now gonna have some attention from SCC,service, check up and coilover mods, when i get a chance to book it in, and then i'll fit my new roose hoses after that.
Just thought i'd share with you that cossie ownership doesnt have to be expensive and they can be reliable too, just goes to show that my car is testament to its previous owners,GUZZLER and SASSYRS.

There very reliable cars if well maintained it’s only a simple engine and there reliable tuned if done properly. Only get expensive if you start tuning them well other than buying them now or chasing rust lol. Very nice looking example you have too

Mines done 107,000 miles now, only had to use the RAC a couple of times in 23 years, the last time was when the alternator packed up which was the original one from 1990 so it had done well!! Over the years I have replaced some parts but then you would have to on any 1990 car..

mine wasn't reliable when I first got it. The amount of times it got towed home by my dad's mk3 fiesta was unreal lol.
I nearly sold it back then. Nearly 13 years on and I've still got the old girl.
