Wisdom teeth!!!!
Whos had there's out? I got mine coming through at the moment, and its growing the WRONG FUCKING WAY
But my teeth are perfect, I had my first filling 4 weeks ago, and never had any problems ever!
Its caused swelling to one side of my gum, and its fucking killing
Looks like im having it out....
Had 1 top one out at 22 and the other grew through OK. The bottom two didnt have enough room to grow through so had a tiny bit poking through the gum. Was agony for a few years and they were infected several times so had to have antibiotics. Eventually had them out under general anesthetic in 2004 (age 24). My dentist was convinced they would grow through and didnt want to remove them.
Oh and r.e the swelling, against all medical advice, SQUEEZE IT, I did, feels much better

Only got one lower one left, had the top two out under Gas many many years ago and got the lower one out around 1 1/2 yrs ago with a couple of jabs. Dentist almost broke my jaw doing it though but surprisingly there was not that much pain.

I had the bottom 2 out a few years ago. I fooking hated it and was shit scared.
It was done under local anaesthetic with sedation, they asked me just prior if I wanted them to take 2 or all 4. I said to take only what they needed to.
If I had known then what I know now, I would have let them take all 4. I remember NOTHING of the operation. The last thing I remember was the anaesthetic needle going in, can't even really remember how they administered the sedation.
But the suffering afterwards. I was totally out of action for a week. Eating Ice Cream and Soup etc. I reckon the suffering would have been no worse if I had all 4 done, so wished I had now as the 2 top ones are looking like they might need removing!!
Having said that, I have seen people before that have had all 4 removed and 2 hours later, you wouldn't have known. No suffering atall. So, it varies for everyone.

2 of my wisdom teeth caused all sorts of problems, they grew at a strange angle and actually broke the teeth next to them which wasn't the best experience i've ever had...
Get the fookers out before they cause you to go mad and try and pull em out yourself like i did

i had the 2 on the right side out.. got it done under general as it was on the healthcare so i wasn't paying for the anaesthetist. hardly hurt at all afterwards, but got me 2 weeks off work!
there was a bit of swelling, but as long as you don't try to talk for the first couple of days should go down pretty quick.
I've got to have 2 out soon - top left and bottom right. Where the hell am I supposed to eat
Looking at 300 quid
No way I'm doing it without sedation - Lou did the first time she had one out and she looked like she had seen a ghost and just would not say a word for a good hour after. Proper messed up

I had all four of mine out in hospital under a general done by a Dr Fagin at the George Elliot Nuneaton, all the things I was worrying about before going in never having had an operation and all and guess what.....
this nurse comes up to the bed draws the curtains around......
pulls on the rubber gloves, looks at me and says "I don't want to do this any more than you want to have it done" I thought what the fuck is she on about has she got the wrong patient???? wooohoooo free bed bath LOL!!!
no, no, no a supository pain killer shoved right up my backside with a smidge of KY for easy of transport
mind you have to say I never really had any pain of any sort, just slightly yellow brusing to jaw

Had all 4 out 3 years ago in hospital under a general - that was done at 12.30pm mid day.
I discharged myself at 8-30pm as I hate hospitals and got a mate to pick me up.
Suffered not much pain (until the slow release pain killer ran out) then just had swelling and bruising for about 10 days. I was back in work after 4 days as the day time tv was causing me more pain than the holes in my mouth.
Best thing I ever did

My two done under general were taken out at 10am and I was home by 1.30pm. Wasnt even that painful and flew to Oz 3 days later. They had to cut the gum quite severly in my mouth and put dissolvable stitches in but even then, the pain didnt seem too bad.
absolutly horrid mate had mine out years ago and ended up in the hospital cus it would not stop bleeding
everytime i moved it started to bleed again, just glad ther all out..
hope all goes well for you

I'm waiting for a fucking appointment to have mine out soon, you bastards, now I'm not exactly looking forward to it
The orthadentist said to me that the bottom 2 are the worse mate, apparently they're closer to a big nerve or something, I don't remember exactly but she had a white shirt on and you could see her bra through it.

They used to pull all of your wisdom teeth at the slightest hint of them being a problem. Now they won't do it unless you are getting repeated problems.
It's because of the nerve that passes very close to them, more-so on the bottom ones. This nerve is the sensory one, not the motor one. This means if they damage it as they are crow-barring your head, you may loose some of the sensitivity in your lip or something. It's hugely rare, and even rarer for it to last any more than a couple of weeks. There should be no way of you loosing the movement of anything though, so it's nothing to worry about.
