Default Test drive report for those interested.

Teething problems to be expected..i mention earlier a hissing noise.....well on test drive above 0psi it misfired badly...phoned Paul Hills who immedietly said air leak on the injector ...as i said its coming from around there.....one of the plugs was grey all the rest were brown..so rail off and new seal on that grey...job done.

Next a water leak...split hose Fixed

So off for a run..it feels sooooo lively off boost the 7.9-1 compression really is the comp ratio to have LOL....The Collins diagnostic moniter is absolutely brilliant i recommend it..it aint bling BUT very functional and tells me everything i NEED to know ...Its nice to be able to back the ignition off to make everything safer if for example i cant get super unleaded or i just feel like experimenting

For the people who say i rebuild often...some facts:

Original engine spun a bearing due to high milage....thats when DIY started ...done a nice little stage 3 with liners using T34 .48 (all my builds use liners) peaked at 2bar held 1.7bar on raised fuel pressure...lovely engine...but i got bored after 8000miles and decieded MORE power......so then came the 8 x greens 7.1-1 ported head T4 powered beast holding 34psi ...Had problems......head gasket blew due to shite copy coopers ring gasket and turbo exploded swarf in sump...oil filter stopped any damage...turbo was replaced for £100 under warranty ........fixed head gasket with a genuine one...had a good run...fooking fast car but absolutely shit off boost...which was till 4500rpm .....Then the recommendation of using std head bolts on a T4 holding 34psi...cracked the block around the bolt holes causing gasket failure obviously.....at that time i decieded 7.9-1 comp using proper block proper a head clamp with T4 8 greens and anti lag....done 800miles on it..then bought a GTR and started to break the Saff...then got bored of Skyline sold it and here we are now

So really.....my failures were this.....Copy coopers ring gasket (being tight here ),faulty T4 ( BITCH),cracked block due to std head bolts(Advice from Billy Bullshitter)..

DIY till i die babyyyyyyyyyyyy If this explodes i will do it again...

Fair play phil, I'm actually a fan of DIY and was well chuffed with my old 150+mph cvh I built the other year. As to wether I rebuild this cossie engine myself I shall have to wait and see.
