lovely car............... it was quite thirsty on the petrol side though...
but out of all my older cars i miss my 325i motorsport most in terms of crusing and a bit of side ways action... but it was such a nice drive had a good level of pull through all the gears.. i wud defintly get 1 again.... well if i cud find a nice convertable....i cud go on about these all day...
but if u do get 1 try not 2 get a nice one which no more then a geninue 110 thousand miles on them.. if i was to get 1 again it wud have to be 80-90 thousand miles on the clock.. also check the general things if u want a motorsport make sure its got BLACK roof headlining... i went to view a few cars people were trying to sell as 325i motorsports and they were home made jobs.... the roof headlineing is a dead giveaway...

Team HOTHOT!
Had one ages ago, a 325i sport - was a top motor, absolutely amazing to drive, great fun in the wet.
Loved it so much, that i'm currently embarking on a project to reshell my cossie into an E30
Just sorted a shedload of stuff for it, so will be running round the country to pick it all up

Yes, E30 325i's are about 170bhp. Sports had a close ratio box and LSD as std as well.
Never owned a 325 Sport although I had exclusive use of a friends who was a rally mechanic when he was away abroad for a month.
Owned an E21 323i which was the forerunner but only had 143bhp - both fun cars in the wet but they could do with a quicker steering rack or you end up looking like Magnus Pyke when you try heroics. I think people now fit a quicker rack from an E36 model to give less turns lock to lock

Ive got an E30, just a 316i though
On the whole its a very good car, relaible, sexual, and tail happy if you give it enough stick, which is always a brucey bonus.
Go for it, you wont regret it

Having a prob getting an insurance quote though
only had time to try one company at the moment though and after 5mins of them trying to find the right bmw model they told me to hold the line while they ring someone because im only 22 and she said the computer was telling her i had to be 25 or over, so i waited another 5mins to be told "no im sorry, they said if you were 23 they would have allowed it but 22 is abit too young"

Yeah i had an E reg 325ise with Mtec bumbers & lip spoiler, sounded ace, classic shape, but a bit thirsty but nowt worse than a Ford RS, you can buy worst cars. Just a bit narrow compared to todays roomier cars.

Insurance companies are generally idiots! I've had a right fiasco recently

Had 325i sport, AFAIK the only problem are the heads, ours had had a new one and sure the oil was starting to get slightly getting milky when sold it - though gaskets cheap enough at GSF
Other than that it was great! Wasn't too juicy, very tail happy
