i got about 8k on credit cards and 5k in loans left. Had a hell of a lot more a few years back but was earning good coin then and managed to get most of it paid off without a problem!!

About £500 left of my student loan to pay off, my car is now fully owned by me (as of February last year, bank-loan finished paying off for that), and owe about £2,000 on a credit card (0% offer until mid-2007).
Trouble is, as soon as the credit card is paid off, I'm looking at getting myself about £100,000 in debt on a house!

I don't know about anyone else but going through large debt has in someways been a great lesson for me. Struggling to pay it off has really made me look at how much stuff is worth, budget my finances and save for things.

Got a full student loan which I start paying back this month but as said its only about £50 per month for me so hardly a big dent.
Apart from that i have £500 on a credit car, £500 in and overdraft both from the student days oh and i owe £1500 on the car still. but Im paying arounf £200 off it all every month and im due a pay rise at some point so ill soon pay it off. Only thing is if I didnt have the car id have it paid off by now as it costs me over £300 a month to pay the tax and in buying bits for it i.e. £200 for my bumper repair this month

I know of somebody who is nearly 60k in debt He's only 25 as well! He does have a mortgage but this debt doesnt include that. He's had to sell up and move back home to pay some of it off!!

I'm 24, have 24k of debt
Got a 5k loan from the bank when I was 18, to pay of my Egg card, then proceeded to run the Egg card back up again, and another couple of cards, got an 18k loan to pay all that off, then more credit cards, totalling to 24k
I also learnt the hard way, I have a decent car, I rent a nice place with the Mrs, and I'm skint, but I'm ploughing through it, and it has taught me to be so much more careful with money, and I vow never to return to the pits of debt again......
Until I get a mortgage.

Had a couple of different loans for between 2000pounds and 15000pounds. All paid off now. Had a large credit card bill from living it up a little too much while on holiday last year but that has since gone.
Great feeling once its all gone.

Does my head in when people get bailed out by their parents because they usually don't learn their lesson. But making you pay it back that's really impressive of them.

Almost 25K, 15k of it went into renovating a house, but should make enough profit when the house is sold to clear the 15k, so not really that bad. The remainder is uni/car stuff. All at almost 26

At its peak it was about £35K!!!
That did worry me a lot!!!
However thanks to my income going up a fair bit recently and the missus going back to work its down to about £6K on plastic which I should have paid off soon!
But that's it though! No more debt EVER!!!
If I want something now it gets paid for cash! No more loans or credit!

i THINK i owe about 16-18k but ive never had the bottle to add it all up
i pay back about 1k a month on it all, but its all over the place so it gets paid off very slowly i need to get in a position where i can get one big loan to cover all the little ones, and then i recon i could have it all paid off in a year.
i racked all that up back when i was earning <13k a year. i'm now much better off and can afford it easily
