i owe about £5.8k on a loan and £123.97 on a credit card
if i sold my cars i'd cover about 7 k so i dont class it as debt ... i got the 7k loan to buy a new car, then saved up a bit and got another car aswel.

I'm 26 and owe about 20k roughly, although I have 10k in premium bonds which can be returned to me at any time so depends how you look at it, I could withdraw that 10k and reduce my debt by half, or leave it where it is on the off chance I win a bit of cash, also have a bit of equity in the house so that reduce's my debt a bit.
Have always been in debt since about 18, started work at 17 on £60 a week, managed to save most of that by spending fook all, living at home and not having a car etc, as soon as the wages went up, it was all over, bye bye money cars are to blame for about 75% of my debt I reckon.
Hopefully when its all payed off I can save a bit and fook off abroad to travel with a view to a permanent move

19 and ive got about £300 on a credit card ive had for 6 weeks, and owe my rents 700 for car insurance. i try not to get into to much debt but i find it easier to borrow money and pay off debt than to save up for something for 2 months or whatever.

Owe about £400 to me dad and £500 to the bank and thats it.
VERY different story 5 years ago thou, was 8k in debt. And for as long as I live I am never ever ever getting in debt ever again.
The only thing I am ever gonna borrow money for is a house and thats it.

Luckily not a penny apart from the mortgage
However a year after finishing Uni way back in 2000 I was £27k under Things were tight for a good year or two! Wont go back there again! Only thing worth getting in debt for is property...certainly not my cars!
