Fair play Keith, good pics, good info, great thread actually ![Clap](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/9c-clap.gif)
I much prefer putting stuff up on here than the GTR board, and TBH i think people understand and appreciate the technicalities of it here a bit more too.
Lots! But when you going for 1000bhp, lots is a normal price! Keith only taking it to 9000 or so is keeping it pretty understressed, which sounds quite mad for a motor pushing 8second quarters ![Smokin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/smokin.gif)
If you sticking with power in 3 figures and revs below 9000 then a RB30 block like mine is much easier on the wallet, infact cheaper than many built up cossie engines, which is quite nice.

Do you know why? You would imagine it would be stronger with the closed deck of the old design.

When you run big power on a RB26 skyline engine the weak part is the cylinder
walls the OSG kit has 10mm steel liners that are very strong and the crank also
has much wider bigend journals they have about 10mm more surface area over std.
the rev limit on this 3L engine is still 9000 revs.

Muhahahaha Mental spec!
My turbo is only a didly 125lb job but more importantly i never plan to run it anywhere near that so no point in comparing anything! Turbo system is way over 125lbs though
Look forward to seeing this wind up on the strip

Well I always thought a carbon prop would be a good idea especially on a Cosworth, to help reduce transmission power losses.
With them being considerably lighter weight i'd have thought a few bhp may have been saved?

But you need to check the throttlebody they are not the best
![Sad](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
Accufab TB have big problems with airleak. They leak air between the trottle shaft and the tb house, and that's no good. So check that.
Anders.
