urgent help needed !!!
one of my saph doors is not locking making the whole lot not lock when i turn the alarm on
i think its the drivers door, when i press it in it locks, when i press the pass front one in it locks then unlocks immediatley and the drivers side doesnt even try to move in,
could it be the solenoid sticking ?
how could i fix it ie buy a new one etc ?
any ideas ?
door is delocked by the way so cant do it with the key
HELP !!!!! lol

had the same prob on my saph cossie,...
turned out the clifford wasnt sending a signal to the motor on one side,...
bizzare, but after testing everything else, thats what the auto elecy came up with
but,...it is more thn likely the solenoid,...or maybe broken wires....

Sit in the back seat lock both the front doors from inside & one of the rear doors then get out of the one that's unlocked & then flick the catch so its in the lock position & close the door behind you - all doors locked
Not quite sure how your gonna get back in though
(unless you climb in through the boot)

Exactly the same with mine as well, also with a clifford. Sometimes it does lock and my doors are delocked so have to go through the boot, luckily enough that opens whenever

oh god , not the trunk monkey line
Any one who hasnt seen it get a gogle on the go, funny as hell!!!
Ok as for a temp fix try disconecting the cables from the solanoid in the drivers side as a temp mesure, if the system isnt connected to the faulty 1 the rest should opperate, means going through the passenger door but if it means the cr is secure does it matter??

on a more serious not (if at all possible)
will they lock manually from inside the car?
if so, lock the doors from inside, then leave via the boot. (making sure you can get back in via the boot of course) - if not manually lock the doors and before clambering out, see if the remote still unlocks them ok.

Get down the scrappy and get a solenoid off a Sierra m8,all the same 1990 onwards
Just converted mine from the shit 2wd saph central locking system to the 4x4 type system, scrappy charged £25 for the full set up,4xsolenoids/handles/locks the lot
Get your door card off first though and check you have got power to the drivers side central locking, plug with four wires goes to solenoid, there will be a yellow wire, white wire, red wire and brown wire.
Brown should be earth,
Red should be permanent live,
Yellow and white should alternate being live when doors are locked/unlocked,can't remember off hand which colour is live when locked/unlocked though
Pretty easy to tell though
If all these wires are ok it will be your solenoid, remove the complete locking mechanism off the car,the three big phillips screws you see by lock mechanism, all that goes to door handle is a cable
The bars and pivot points are only on the earlier wank system I've just removed off mine

Have you checked all the wires I listed above?????
If the doors have been off I would say there is a good chance its just a bad connection on a multiplug
If your really stuck disconnect the multiplug to the drivers side central locking, then all you will have to do is reach across and manually lock the drivers door, close the other door and your central locking will still work on the other three doors fine

i literaly just dumped about 10 sets of 90 spec door locks with the cables etc only yesterday
if you have the early door with the little buttons then you need to make sure the metal rods are siezing up, door cards off to make sure the yare moving proplery and not sticking
if it's the door handle lever style then it's more than likely to be a problem with the lock getting stuck
the best way is to get the motors and lcoks and handles from a 90 on wards sierra and swap the whole lot over, just rememerb that the later cars had the motors operating the wrong way, so when you lock it unlocks and when you unlock it locks, just change the wires around on the alarm and you'll be ok
but before you do any of this, get into the car and lock the doors from the inside
it will only be a problem with oe of the front doors but normally when the motor sticks it will cycle through locking and unlocking for upwards of 5 minutes before it gets somewhere

one of them is deffo fooked i reckon and im sure its the front drivers
tried to contact clean all the multiplugs and still nothing, like i say if you lock the pass front then it tries to lock and then immediatley unlocks and the front drivers doesnt even move.
and if you disconnect the drivers plugs it will lock the other 3 doors
gonna get a auto leccy out to check it all over as it seems even more fooked now lol
now the clock, central locking, interior light and a couple of other little things arent working
when you open the drivers door the footwell light comes on for a second then goes off same as the clock, leave it a while and the clock will come back on again,
if you hold the drivers door pin / alarm pin in ie it thinks the door is shut the clock after a short time starts flashing again only to go off as soon as you release the pin
fookin car lol
to make matters worse the tyre place has put a tyre on in the wrong rotation lol
