Is it just me or was the cossie side wank?

four cars - thats it! is that all we've got?

fairplay to the 4 that did run (and also those that had to drop last minute) but were there no reserves? not a single escort cossie capable of running? or even a high spec saff???

we looked a proper bunch of tools imo, they wiped the floor with us big time

think Im gonna sell the cossie and get a scooby or an evo

It was simply a case that not everyone was ready, i wanted to do this event but could not afford to get the car done in time.

Maybe others are in the same boat or just ran out of time to get them finished.

tbh Ima's right (for once) is a year not enough notice?
I understand that it is an expensive game and not everyone can afford it. also last minute breakages are unavoidable but isnt this why we should have reserve entrants? or do we only have 4 willing and ready cossies in the country?

i agree that there was not enought cossies there but hey who cares it would have been nice to see 20 600+hp reliable cossies but the facts are that not everyone has the funds or the time to do it or have other priorities in life other than showing a scoobie up. Top day non the less roll on next year

Ima-Racing500,
How much preperation you need???? You have a year!!!!!
Not all of us have the money to get them done in time, i took mine off the road about 2 weeks after TOTB last year and its still not done. But will definatly be ready for next year.
Someone said Kev Sharp was still waiting for Pectel to sort his car = no his fault
Rods car broke a one off shaft as you know.

When was your car ever proved?
When will the Skyline be as its sooooo much better?

Top day.

Made me want an Evo! That RC Developments car is cool as, not just the performance, it looks proper evil, I like it lots.

Piss poor showing by the cossys.

The red S2 on big rims, cage etc, was cool.

Left b4 it finished tho, they were taking this piss sorting out the finals.

Calders Scooby thru the fence was quality.

Gav....my car was never proved as i aint competitive and i have NEVER said i was.....the thing is BIG BHP Cossie boys "talk" a good performance Dont say you gonna enter when in reality you know on the day you WONT...Atleast Martin H never said he'd be there!

IMO the Skyline has it all plus it can be taken to 1000 plus BHP reliably!...As said it will never be proved..as i cannot afford to break it....LOL.

I aint hating on the Cossie boys but leave totb alone...there never be a match in my honest opinion.

Seen as it was way after the finish line of the handling track it was pretty funny.

although fairplay to anyone giving it enough stick to actually stuff it.

they were pillaging bits off another scooby to repair it and carry on running though!

4 Cossies that's it?? Well, it's better than no cossie.
How many of the powerful Jap cars do more than just TOTB?? or are some of them worked on all year for this one show?
IMA of course always has the worst opinion or saying..he broke the cossie, cause Japs the way forward, don't know which way forward your planing on going but if it's the same as the cossie, looks like you won't be getting to far

Was quite a good day out, shit there bein no beer tent or was there??

Felt a bit like a jap show find it hard to get proper interested when theres not many fords.

Some rapid cars there though, who won overall??

Think the TOTB novelty has worn off for me now.

Fair play to Paul Ripleys old fester cus it was puttin awesome times for what it is.

Respec to the fords that did run tho, jus gettin em off the line seems one of the hardest parts!

Just got back meself, turned out to be a scorcher. First time i've been and got to say that cossies haven't got a chance against some of the supras and skylines on show today. Fucking awesome machines! I'm afraid we're getting too old,but respect to those who tried
Now the amount of money generated there today(Ł20 on the gate ) surely the organisers could have got a couple of grandstands sorted out,and a few bins wouldn't have gone amiss! There must have been 4-5000 peeps there,HUGE amount of ticket fees!
Other than that cracking day!

Agreed!

I think the best qtr mile from the Ford boys was Lee (TIB) at a VERY respectable 11.78 considering he was having to short shift due to a missfire that couldn't be cured on the day. Well done Lee You can see it's not easy launching T4 equipped cars!

Well, that was a great weekend, was kept nice and busy today right at the top of the handling circuit......plenty of people sliding it a little wide, or just spinning out completely (thanks to the CRD Supra for knocking one cone over, and then deciding to donut around it for a "laugh", right in front of where we were parked ). Although, for the second year running, the seemingly-blind head-marshall starting cars off when the track was clear AGAIN missed the fact that my lights were on full-beam pointing straight at him (ie. don't send any more cars on track - not enough walkie-talkies to share around to all the marshalls), which nearly ended up with a few lads on the next section to ours getting ploughed through by a Rover - and we had to make a hasty retreat floored in reverse aswell)!

There must have been 4-5000 peeps there,HUGE amount of ticket fees!
Unofficial word from the gate says it was over 6,000...

Jason gant, ivory Pulsar got 11.09@117mph thats good going for a 5k car
And that was before he removed the passenger seat and let the tyre-pressure down a bit more!
