I would recomed you get a friend with a wideband to check it out, like any mods to a turbo car, just in case you have some fault the kis supplier (ie stu) doesnt know about, like an inadequete fuel supply or similar.

But you dont need a rolling road.

I strongly reccomend you have the fuelling checked using a wideband fuel monitor on either rollers or better still the open road.

The fact my chip has asked your fuel injectors to open at 4000rpm and spray fuel at the inlet valve for 18ms at 5.3bar fuel pressure (1.8bar boost) does not necessarily mean your fuel pump supplied the fuel, the fuel reg regulated the pressure to 5.3bar or the wiring loom even asked the injector to open for long enough in teh first place.

If you follow what im saying?

Fully fitted and setup price for teh same kit is £565 but i realise your a long way from Blackpool for this relatively simple Job. Quite a few of my mail order customers from your area use Mark Shead for teh fitting and are always 100% happy.

you wont be unhappy mate,

i'd pay the little extra and have it checked over by someone like mark or stu,

for the sake of an extra 100 quid when it could cost u 2K for anew engine if it goes wrong, for all you know there might be a bodge jkob being hidden on the car by runnig std or stg 1 that will show up once u up the power,,,

i def wont be skimping on the cost of setting up seeing as how much my engine rebuild has cost me!ideally i would like a live map but i have a few other money matters before i can afford that!if that isnt contradicting myself too much?!?!

I got mine done and set up by stu and was very impressed with the set up, car was smooth as silk and unbeliavebly the car was no worse on fuel than it was at stage1.

Going stage3 can show up signs that other components aint up for the job, when i got mine done they found out the fuel pressure reg wasnt up for the job, then i had to replace the cps and phase sensor as it developed a missfire.

So budget for a few more bits that might be up to the job of standard but show there weakness when pushed at stage 3

O and then the rebuild, mine has let go for the new owner and melted no4 piston for some reason, no fault of msd or there work, but the more power equals less reliability unfortunatly

well im hoping mechanical reliablity shouldnt be an issue seeing as the only old components being used are the crank and rods of the bottom end and i bought and rebuilt a complete head!
