Default Stomach Ulcers

One for the PF docs!

Started getting bad chest pains about 2-3 years back, stupdily just ignored it. But the last 9 months they been getting really bad, crippling sometimes.Stabbing pain seems to be right in the middle of my chest where my ribs meet, usually comes with shooting pains across my right shoulder and down my arm and cramp type pain in my hand.

Mate said he got a stomach ulcer and sounds similar to the pain he gets, apart from the arm/hand thing.

Anyone had/got a stomach ulcer? Sound familiar?

Ta

does the pain come on any time of day, or do you get it a while after eating? if the pains really bad tho, you should go see your doc. I've been treated for stomach ulcer with some pills, but turns out to be something else. Get the ball rolling and see your doc if it's effecting you regular!

Cut out the indian takeaway, cigs & booze that should help... no fun tho eh!!

Its totally random, apart from when im sleeping. Off to the docs tonight, first time in almost 10 years!

My lifestyle is shite - takeaway/drink/drugs/fags/no sleep/stress etc, so its no suprise if something is giving up!

Dont want to worry you but if your getting pain down your left arm (pins & needles) that 'can' relate to heart probs.

Best get to the doc's mate just to be on the safe side.

My ulcer just made me vomit a lot and stay really thin (wonder if I could get it back?)

I had an op to cure it but nowadays they know most ulcers are caused by a virus in the stomach and it can be cured with a course of pills.

It certainly sounds serious enough to see your doc and, if nothing else he will be able to either fix it or put your mind at rest.
