The scratches on't car from last weekand how i fixed it :D
Last week, a little shit run a stone down the side of the cossie and on the bonnet 
one of 7 cars in a row he did
here are the pictures that I took last week of the damage
Bonnet
Passenger Front Door
Passenger Rear Door
Well i spent the best part of 4 hours, maybe 5, fixing the scratches yesterday
and here is the final results

Bonnet
The faded marks on the bonnet is where i got a bit happy with the G3
Heres how i did it.
Washed the damaged area and dried off, then run a cocktail stick down the scratches to remove any dust etc etc.
Using a laquor touch up pen and small brush, apply laquor over the scratch and allow to dry.
Using G3 cutting compound, flat back the laquor and then add another layer, and allow to dry.
Keep doing the above steps untill the laquor has built up sufficiently (about 5 or 6 layers) to fill the scratch.
Polish using your prefered polish to a super shine (My prefered polish is Mequires Gold Class)
well, it was either spend 10 quid on repairing the damage, or 800 quid on a respray of the panels
bitch who owns the kid is still getting a bill tho

Only thing i need to do is run another layer on the drivers door, possibly 2 at the most, as its only just visible in the picture, but you really have to look for it when near the car

Glad it came out ok, sort that drivers door abit more and it'll be back to spot on mate! Well done!

gracie, in my experience g3 always leaves marks when done by hand. using a compunder, gives a much better finish. Use a finer compound like g10 if by hand to remove marks. Maybe Damo can comment

and whats a compounder? is it one of them things used to flatten the floor - like a road-roller with no wheels

If it was only in the clearcoat, you could have flatted the surface back with wetndry to "smooth" the scratch out, then gradually get finer, then compound it up (Personallly I use 3M products) either way well done
Often people use a angle grinder/drill type thing to polish panels more quickly, but decent ones are expensive
Rick, you could try mixing your G3 and G10 together when doing it by hand, that way you will "sctratch" less, but still cut back a little
