What some 205/45/16 for my RST but don't know whats best?

What are you lot running?

I was going to get some Toyo R888 but there are a few bad storys about them when you hit a bit of standing water.

i dont think you can go far wrong with the Eagle F1s

altho they offer simialr grip levels to the (cheaper) toyo proxies, (which wear faster) but considering you'll f**k the tyres on track in odd places, you might be better with the cheaper proxies.

i heard bad things about the new T1-R tho

i personally run Eagle F1s GS3s

I have Yoko parada 2's on my 3dr cossie which i find are very good on the road & not bad for track either. At the end of the day you are never going to get a road tyre that is brilliant at both. I came to the conclusion that i'd be better off with 2 sets of wheels one for track & one for road, as said i use yoko's for road & on track if its raining, i have Toyo R888 fitted to another set of wheels for the track & the difference in using these on track in the dry or damp is like night & day compared to road tyres,so much grip Don't bother with them on the road though as they are noisey as hell & don't like standing water.

To be honest it's hard to have the best of both worlds but in the dry for road use and track use then i recommend Toyo R888 or Dunlop DJ01's/ DJ02's/ Mich sport cups /kumo's (meduim)

but these are not that good in the wet on any surface

you are better off the use road tyres on the road and use a set of slicks for the track all you have to get is a spare set of wheels job done

F1's are ok but they are just a road tyre and thats it nothing special

just wanted to know if you had to mod your rear shocker mount at bottom to fit your billy,s and wot size are your bolts
had some tarmac spec billys all rosejointed and had to drill the mounts to 14mm top and bottom, and mod the bottom mount as the body of shocker was fouling the mount

i was with neil when you came, and i walked down to the pits with him when he was lining up

Basky

all i had to do to mine , at the bottom of the traling arm when the rear shock sits all i did was slightly widen it for the rose joint

now on some tarmac rear billys they have an offset rose joint on the bottom one side is longer than the other and this is to stop it rubbbing on the inner arch so you get abit of clearance

as for the bolts i bought everything with the shocks as complete package

I have some tarmac rears here i'll take a few pics and show you the rose joints

gimme 10mins

baskey

the top rose joint on the Bilstein should fit dead tight it just about fits

here is a pic

this is the top of the billy they are all the same

The Gravel Bilstien on my car have an off centerd rose joint at the bottom but these ones the rose joint aren't but they look like they will clear ,if not i can change these if needed no big deal

the bottom of the shocker body wont fit straiaght in the mounting
the bottom arm bracket fouls it ,and the bolt hole dosnt quite line up needs a few more mm can you cut the flange of on these mounts so it drops down

Baskey

well in that case you might have to cut a step out of the trailing arm where the shocker sits

thats all i can say unless i see it

mine went straight on all i had to do with mine was widen it that was all
