Default Little bit of help please with a vauxhall

My Bro in law has a m-reg corsa 1.0 and he has a few running issues.
It start and runs fine untill he has to stop where the engine starts searching and reving up and down... if he puts his foot down on the clutch the engine idles very low (as low as 200revs) and trys to stall.
Prob is he isn't local so any suggestions as to fixing this?

Cheers People

the revving up and down sounds like the idle control valve needs cleaning

any noice with the clutch being pressed? (other than the change in engine note due to revs?)

on the 1.o corsa im sure the iac valve is a sealed plastic case and cant be cleaned internally .vauxhall advise modified iac motor and also reprogrammed engine software done with tech 2 .which is to stop stalling ,revving up etc
