Default Help! DTC Codes.. Engine Management light on..

It's a 2001 Fiesta Zetec-S, with a de-cat, but does have a MIL illiminator kit on, had a bluefin handset onto the car and got back these two DTC codes.. obviously the reason why my engine management light was on..

P0460 : Fuel Tank Level Indicator Circ Error

Is the first one..

and..

P0171 : Sys too Lean (bank1)

Is the second..

Can anyone help? What the fook is going on, I assume these are related, i.e all to do with fueling?

Dan firstly ignore the fuel message it will always store that code unless you change the fuel tank sender card

P0171 Will relate to a fault on the upstream oxy sensor proberbly fooked

Regards Doug .

Cheers Lads

I'll have a look at her tomorrow.. fecking Fords. The fuel tank sender card, gone faulty I assume? How can two faults suddenly appear at once?

Is it something to be seriously worried about? Or, not "that" bad at all, i.e doesn't need desperate attention?

Thanks Doug and Gareth

Fuel tank message wont bring the EML on so ignor that one but get the oxy sensor checked as if fooked your engine will run lean and possibly melt a piston burn a valve in the long run .
