It won't be a cheap fix.

How much does it whine? It could last a while, but I'd get a good one I recon.

It sounds like you'll need to replace the Crown Wheel and Pinion, and have them dialled in.... Shouldn't be too expensive, so seventy quid sound good to me.....

If its whining it will be the bearings and not the gears surely
Berni aka Gearboxman re-cons them for about 200 quid so for 270 ish you could have a brand new diff

Mmmm, Could be bearings, but me thinks worn crown wheel and pinion as these can whine as well. I would get new bearing put in at the same time though, to play it safe.

Still sounds a good price though.

if it's whining it's most defo the crownwheel and pinion

it' not worth changing just that you might aswell do the whole diff

stuff like bearings/seals full over haul

I'm sure that JC Motorsport has 2wd diffs on the shelf ready to go you could always part ex your one with him

he also has got 2wd and 4wd cossie gearboxes on the shelf ready for exchange

Cheers marco
