Seems strange that we can't accomodate you as we do Insure all of the above vehicles that you have mentioned - both heavily modified & standard.

Ordinarily i'd be happy to look into the reasons as to why we were unable to help and respond to you individually, but seeing as you've chosen the route of 'rubbishing Greenlight and the scheme' i'm less inclined to do so.

I resent your comments and the manner in which you have made them, as we have supported this forum both (financially through advertising and sponsorship) along with negotiated a number of competitive schemes with genuine discounts and relevant benefits to members.

In addition, I have maintained a vigil on here both at work and in my own time over the last 2 years. I've been active in offering general technical Insurance advice and assistance to members whether theyre with Greenlight or not.

As a moderator, if you wish us to stop the concession and refrain from being involved with Passion Ford i'm happy to do so and will forward your details to all 'aggrieved' individuals that complain about the situation.

Exactly, there's no point in doing this just because they couldnt offer you any insurance cover Whats it going to achieve?

Your not the first and you certainly wont be the last.

And by the way Tony responed would only make me want to phone Greenlight in the future, not avoid.

Gus is entitled to his view..

Bearing in mind the extent of the vehicles that we cover i'm surprised that we couldnt help.

What did get my goat however was the "zero courtesy" approach.

If youve got a beef, PM me.. i'll help.

Here endeth the rant

I personally think that the Greenlight service is excellent....

Tony is currently doing his best to sort a policy for me despite the fact that the website didn`t want to know my postcode and i "Did not fit their criteria"...

All this took was a PM and not a lot of moaning and slagging off on a public forum,I simply spoke to him and he is going to speak to the underwriters and see if it can be sorted........Problem solved..

He may or may not be able to help me but at least he has conducted himself in a Professional and helpful manner.....Maybe others should take a leaf out of his book....

Thanks Tony, hope to do business with you soon....

I agree, a little pm to Tony maybe would have got things sorted.

I know people that have been refused by the computer and a little PM to Tony and all is resolved and underwritten, not much chance of this happening now is there.

i have no problem tony was just pissed off that most other companys will quote me but not you! and you offer a scheme unlike dominion who are willing to accomodate people! this is a copy of the email sent to me

Dear Mr andrew dawes

We thank you for taking the time to complete an online quotation enquiry.

Unfortunately the details entered into the system do not fit the required criteria for our specialist schemes.

However, if the vehicle is standard or only has a few minor modifications, we would recommend that you contact A Quote on 0800 298 2836 who should be able to provide a competitive quotation for you

insurance is a buyers market and im a buyer

I`m sure he would have done, had he been given the chance via a simple PM rather than be called a joke on a public forum...

Perhaps this is the real reason for you to as you say.."Jump on the bandwagon"...

not the reason for jumping band wagon,.....this was a while ago, and i reeeaaaalllly dont give a shit who im insured with, or if i get rejected,...was just saying that theres always someone else wanting to take your hard earned,....

Common courtesy costs nothing mate,Tony extended it to you so maybe you could show him the same courtesy in return...

this aint referring to me is it,......nah, didnt think so,,...cause all i got when i phoned greenlight was some numpty telling me my COMPLETELY STANDARD 2wd was modified because it had factory the lattice style alloys on it,....

but hey,..i aint said owt on here,....and still really dont care, as im insured elsewhere,...but seen as you brought it up,....

I got a good quote from them for my car and that was with it being technically a replica, they were dead easy to deal with.

Cant understand why you didnt at least PM Tony first Gus, seems a bit out of order to me.
